Quatrro Business Support Services is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to join a mission-driven team in our nonprofit division. This dynamic role focuses on supporting a single non-profit client and spans core HR functions, including benefits administration, compliance, HRIS management, and employee support. We're looking for a proactive professional ready to dive into performance management, employee relations, and HR development.
As a key advocate for both client management and employees, you'll interpret policies, administer programs, and provide creative solutions. This is a client-facing role in which you will build and maintain close working relationships with one Quatrro client and serve as the subject matter expert in all things HR.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR contact for one non-profit client, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage and optimize HR processes, including:
- Benefits administration and management
- HRIS data management
- Onboarding and offboarding processes
- Employee inquiries and Tier 1 support
- Compliance with employment laws and internal policies
- Administration of grant compliance requirements related to HHS State of Illinois funders.
- Support performance management and assist with employee relations issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for audits and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with client leadership to improve HR workflows and enhance employee experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated success in:
- Benefits administration
- HRIS systems
- Employee inquiries and onboarding
- Compliance and policy interpretation
- 2+ years of experience working with Health and Human Services (HHS) compliance requirements, including administration of grant funding for State of Illinois programs.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and HRIS systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Adaptability to handle the evolving needs of a dynamic workforce.
- Strategic thinking with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Passion for creating an exceptional employee experience.
- SHRM, HRCI, or similar professional HR certification.
- Previous experience with a nonprofit organization and/or knowledge of the health and human services sector.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $65,000–$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k), and health insurance coverage (medical, dental, vision, life insurance).
